March 25 & 26, 2017- RI District Event

We were so thrilled to be able to compete at Bryant University in the Rhode Island District Event! Big changes happened for the robot, it got a new look, the indexer and shooting mechanisms were taken off and a new gear pick-up system was added, a pneumatic floor pick-up allowing the robot to get gears from the floor and place them onto the airship as well as a new climbing system, a “rake” design that grabs the rope and rotates to pull the robot up. The new design proved to be effective as the team ranked 15th and was selected by the 5th ranked alliance captain for the playoff matches.

We want to thank all the volunteers and event coordinators for putting on an amazing event as well as our alliance partners, 121 Rhode Warrior and 2064 The Panther Project!

We’ll be headed to the world championship event in St. Louis April 26-29 where we will be competing with teams from around the world! See you then!

March 10, 2017- WPI District Event

Day 2:

We had such a fun time at WPI! Even though our robot did not get picked in the alliance selection for the finals, we had some great matches and the robot and drive team has been improving along the way. We’re so proud of all the hard work that’s been put into the competition, from the strategy going on in the stands to the drive team and the work being done in the pits between matches. Competing at WPI has shown us where we need to improve but also how to keep a positive attitude throughout the event.

We would like to congratulate all the teams that competed at WPI, especially the winning teams: 3623 Terror Bots, 2370 IBOTs, and 1991 Dragons, and the District Chairman’s Award winner: 4905 Andromeda One!

We’ll be competing at the Rhode Island District event at Bryant University on March 25th and 26th. For more information on that, whether you want to watch the experience first hand or learn more about the competition, you can head to:
